Christmas Tree

I hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas. We had to take the tree down early because the cat was using it as a climbing frame. The real tree with it's prickly needles has survived.

Fibre East & Painted Tops

We had a good weekend at Fibre East and it was really great to meet so many fibre enthusiasts. Thankfully the rain and mud didn't stop visitors with poeple wearing an amazing array of colourful wellies. Mother went prepared with her bright red wellies but a deep puddle on Saturday morning relvealed a major leak. I had a spare pair of my boots in the car but no spare socks. A quick walk round and Mother purchased some very nice soft purple mohair socks from the Natural Fibre Company. We then had to remove the wellies no easy task but she did have dry warm feet for the rest of the day.

I am going to do some new colour ways in painted tops and have reduced all the ones currently on the website. www.wheeldalewoolcrafts.co.uk/handpaintedrovings.php.
